When I woke up days ago, I was in water. Those niggas hit me in the back of the head like pussies and threw me in the fucking gutter. I showered, at least, ten times after I got to my hideaway place in Manhattan. It took me forever to get there on foot and to find out where the fuck I was in the first place in order to get there. Not even River knew that I had that apartment but I kept it around just in case some shit went down and I needed to lay low. That scheming as hoe Mina didn’t know about it either.

All I could do was sit there and plot as the weeks went on. You can’t keep a nigga down and if you try, then that’s when family members go missing. I wasn’t scared of none of them niggas. Not Major, Genesis, or that nigga Kendu. Their problem was that they kept eyes on their money and on their family at the same time. But I wonder how they would feel if they had to choose between one or the other. So this was Kendu city? Shit. The last I checked I didn’t have a fucking boss.

“Mina,” I called her from a burner phone while looking at my glass coffee table. “I need to see you.”

“See me?” she questioned.

“Yea, I need to see you.”

“How… how did you… where are you?”

“Does it matter? And why the fuck you sound so shocked to hear from me? You got some money for me?”

She was quiet for a long ass time and I knew that the bitch had been doing some shit that she didn’t have no business doing while I was gone.

“Answer me!”

“Yea… yea… I got something for you,”

“I want you to meet me at a club tonight. In Brooklyn. Ain’t nobody gonna see me out there. And you keep your fucking mouth closed about seeing me too,”

“Why would I need to talk to somebody about you?”

“Bitch, you think I’m stupid? You talk too fucking much! The club is called Lust and I need you out there at midnight!” I said hanging up in her face. All I wanted to do was get my money, probably fuck and have her turn a couple of tricks so I could put something to eat in my apartment. She was gonna be my mouse while I was setting shit in motion for these greedy ass niggas who thought that they could keep me out of my own city. It wasn’t going down like that.

I got dressed and made sure I was fresh as fuck then got in my car that was in the garage that was downstairs. I didn’t have no plates on it in case somebody was trying to trace me. As far as anybody knew by now I was dead and I wanted to keep it that way.

I waited in the club at the bar when I checked my big face watch to make sure that Mina was going to be on time.
